We Put the FUN in FUNdraiser!

This year's bike-a-thon is not only going to be fun and exciting for the kids, but for the parents, as well! We hope you can join us to cheer them on October 8. We are also having a parent volunteer meeting for the Bike-a-thon @ 9:30 in Palmer Hall on Monday, September 29. Please come, if you can, as we need lots of help to make our fundraiser a wonderful experience for the children.

Two Girls Who Make Crosses will be here next week, as well. To get a preview of their FUN and unique designs, visit www.twogirlswhomakecrosses.com. 10% of the proceeds will directly back to the school!

We also have advertising opportunities available on our blog. If you have a business you would like to promote, we will put a link on the blog under "Friends and Supporters" for $5 a month or $35 a year ($10 savings, if you pay for the year in advance). Rainbow – 9:30-10:00
Blue – 10:00 – 10:30
Purple - 10:30 - 11:00
Orange - 10:50 – 11:25
Red – 11:00 – 11:30
Yellow- 11:40 – 12:10
Green - 12:00 - 12:30
Sky Blue – 12:00-12:30

Weekly Director's Update

We have had a busy and fun week here at SCDC!

Here’s what’s coming up next week:

**This Sunday, Sept. 21st is SCDC Sunday at Suncreek. Service times are 8;15, 9:30, and 11:00. If you can attend the 9:30 or 11:00 service I will be doing the children’s sermon and I would love to see your kiddos faces. Also, at both services I will need nine (each) children to carry banners during a hymn. Hope to see you there J

**Wed. Sept. 24th at 9:30, we will have our first fire drill. The teachers will talk about it with the children before they do it but you may want to talk about it with your child.

**Reminders**
Please refer to the sick policy in your Parent Handbook. We have had a lot of sickness just in the last couple weeks and so please be mindful of our guidelines.

Please make sure you are sending your child daily a healthy lunch.

Please send your child in appropriate shoes for play here at SCDC daily.

**Down the road reminders**
Mon. Sept. 29th, Girls Who Make Crosses will be here to sell their handmade items. They give the school 10% back from the total sales they make. J

David Chicken Comes to Suncreek!

Just a reminder that we be hosting David Chicken in concert on September 19 at 6:00. The admission is FREE, but we will be accepting love offerings that evening. We hope to see you and your family on the 19th!

Also, Sunday Sept. 21st is SCDC Sunday at Suncreek. We encourage all families to visit any of the three services: 8:15, 9:30 and 11:00.

Let the Fun Begin!

We are off to a great start!! I hope you all had a restful and relaxing weekend. I want to give a few reminders and a peek of what will be going on this next week and in the weeks to come.

Please send your child to school in shoes that are appropriate for playtime on the playground and during specials. If you choose to dress your child in nice shoes please send a pair of tennis shoes for them to change into.

*Please send a spare change of clothes daily in case of accidents or spills.
*Please label all of your child’s belongings.
*Make sure you are signing your child in & out daily.
*Please hand in all forms that are due as well as September tuition. Thank You!!

Wednesday, Sept. 10th is Chick-fil-A Night

If you eat at the Chick-fil-A on McDermott in Allen on Wednesday evening please mention you are with Suncreek Children’s Development Center and they give a % back to our school. This will be something we will do on a monthly basis to help raise money towards things for the school. Hope to see you there!

Suncreek United Methodist Church Garage Sale : Will be in Palmer Hall on Saturday, Sept. 13th from 7am-3pm.

Family Picnic & David Chicken Show: Friday, Sept. 19th. Doors open in Palmer Hall at 6:00. Show will begin at 6:30. Please bring your family, dinner and a blanket and enjoy a fun filled family evening with us. Please look for the posters in the halls or go to www.davidchicken.com for more information about the show.

SCDC First Bike-A-Thon: Wed. Oct. 8th Look for more information to come about this wonderful event that will be a great fundraiser for our school.
