Weekly Director's Update

Good morning! I can’t believe next week is the start of February already!! We have several things going on this month.

** Just a reminder we are currently enrolling those families of SCDC for the 2009-2010 school year through today and as of Monday we start enrolling Suncreek church members. As of Feb. 9th registration will be open to the public. If you have any friends or neighbors looking for a preschool for the fall have them call the preschool office at 972-727-4300.

Currently the 4 day 4 year old class is full for the fall. We will be glad to place you in the 3 day program and wait list you for the 4 day class. All other classes still have spots so please make sure you come in on Friday to guarantee a spot. **

Feb. 11th - Yellow Room provides staff lunch

Feb. 13th – 3 Day Valentine parties
Feb. 16th - SCDC Closed for President’s Holiday
Feb. 18th - Pizza, Presidents & Pizza (Check with your teacher about wearing pjs to school this day. SCDC will be providing pizza for the children).
Fire Drill 9:30 am
Feb. 21st - Susan Vankirk’s birthday
Feb. 25th - Visit & talk from the dentist (Dr. Gough’s office) for “dental health month”
10:00 am

Building update:
I wanted to give you the latest information I have been given on the progress of the new building. We have been told by the powers that be that they project completion to be April 10th. We will have a set day for certain I’m sure in March. We will most likely be moving to our new space the weekend of Easter but that is not set in stone. The church has a committee formed to help with the move. As we get closer I will update you further. I have walked the new building, and it will be AWESOME. It will be exciting to be in the space before we leave for summer!

***Inclement Weather Reminder***

As a reminder, if Allen schools are delayed for weather, SCDC will be closed. We will also post this information to the blog, so please check back for updates!

Registration for 4 Day Class - CLOSED

We had such an overwhelming response to the 2009 - 10 (4) day class that it is now full and registration is closed for that class. We do have a waiting list for this class, should you decide to add your child's name to that list at registration.

What a beautiful day!!

Just a few reminders for you:

Registration for the 2009-2010 school year starts this Monday, January 26th from 9:00-10:00 & 1:00-2:00 in the narthex of the main building (where the sanctuary is). Please bring your registration form and your fee with you at the time of registration. Remember this time is just for our current SCDC students and their siblings.
*Registration for Suncreek church members will start on Monday, Feb. 2nd.
*Registration for the public begins on Mon. Feb. 9th.

Fees for 2009-2010 School Year:
Registration: $125 (nonrefundable) – due at time of registration
Supply:
18 mos.-2yrs. $50 - due April 1st
3yrs. $75
4yrs. $100

Tuition:
18 mos. $220
2 yrs. $210
3 yrs. $270
4 yrs. (3 day) $270
4 yrs. (4 day) $290

**Next week is family chapel so we invite all parents to join us at 9:15 in the sanctuary for this special time. The kids love it!!

Weekly Director's Update

We are posting the weekly update early since I will be out of the office this Friday. I wanted to make sure and give you a heads up on a few things!

There is NO SCHOOL on Monday. SCDC is closed for MLK Day

Wednesday – There will be a fire drill at 9:30 am

Jan. 25th – Is Ms. Kate (yellow room teacher’s) birthday

Monday – Jan. 26th SCDC Families will be registering for next school year. The registration forms will be going home next week! We will go to a four day program (Monday – Thursday) next year.

Rainbow, Orange and Green will have the option of 2 days – M/W or T/TH

Yellow & Blue will be 3 day (M,W,TH)

Sky Blue, Purple and Red will choose between 3 or 4 days (MWTH or MTWTH) The Red Room will be the four day class and Purple and Sky Blue will be the three day rooms.

The fees will be on the form you will be receiving next week. If you have any questions please stop by the office and someone will be able to answer them for you!

Weekly Director's Update

What a beautiful Friday we had! I saw many of you after school playing on the playground enjoying the great weather!! It’s great to see everyone getting back into the routine of things.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all our SCDC families! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and break!

I have a few reminders and information for you. I will continue to send the weekly updates on Fridays for the week to follow after this email today. Welcome to the new families that have joined us during this semester. We are so glad you are sharing your child with us here at SCDC!!

We have had a few staff changes that have taken place since we left for break. Our music teacher is Ms. Natalie Legg (replacing Ms. Julie Highley) and we are so glad to have her on staff. Our new blue room teacher (replacing Ms. Karen) is Lorey Lovaas. She has been a preschool teacher for the last 7 years in Louisville, Kentucky. She earned her elementary/early childhood teaching degrees from Univ. of Central Arkansas. Her first day will be Monday. We are so excited to have her join us. She met all the students in the blue room on Monday and they loved her!! We are also very excited to have Mary Jackson(replacing Cinda Smith) join us as our Discovery time teacher on Fridays. Ms. Cinda will still be with her sweet babes in the Orange room on Mondays & Wednesdays. SCDC Is so very blessed to have such wonderful teachers working in our midst!!
