Weekly Director's Update

We are getting all settled into the new space! The children seemed to have adjusted very well, and we appreciate your patience with the process. We are very excited and hope you all plan to attend the Open House and Spring Program on Monday, May 4th from 6-8 pm. This will be a great opportunity to see the entire building and enjoy food and fun. **Reminder** If you plan to have pizza and drinks please return your form (sent in your child’s folder earlier in the week) and money to your teacher by May 4th. There will also be a bake sale that night that you can purchase yummy items.

· Silent Auction baskets – Will be on display all next week in front of the SCDC office area. Bidding will not begin until Monday, May 4th and will end at a set time at the open house. The baskets are awesome!!

As you can see we have a lot of things coming up in the next few weeks! The children have had fun this week with the story of Noah and talking about their pets and some classes oceans. I asked the children today to look for rainbows in the sky after it rains and remember God’s promise to all of us! Have a great weekend!

Weekly Director's Update

Well, we made it!! What an exciting morning it was for those classes that found their new rooms on Friday! On Monday, all of our classes will be in their new rooms. Just as a reminder please enter the new building on the southeast corner (off of Twin Creeks/Suncreek Drive). The northwest door of the building is only an exit and will be locked during school hours for safety reasons. We thank you all for your patience throughout this building and moving process. We still have several items that the contractors will be working on for several weeks. We are so thankful for this beautiful space!

Heather Rice the owner of Faith Creations will be here selling her beautiful jewelry on Monday, April 27th and Wednesday, April 29th in the foyer area by the SCDC office. 10% of her sales will come back to SCDC. Check her out at www.faithcreations.shutterfly.com

Sick Policy:
This is allergy season and many of us are suffering from all the junk in the air! Please keep in mind our sick policy that we have in place. Your child may not come to school if they have yellow green discharge coming from their nose in addition to fever, diarrhea, and vomiting. If you’re uncertain of your child’s symptoms and the schools policy please let me know. I appreciate your understanding on this matter!

Weekly Director's Update

What a beautiful day for our Easter Egg Hunts!! Parents thank you for all your help with the planning our special events like the Easter party and egg hunt, we appreciate your help!

I hope you all received the email about the building update. We will not have school on Friday since the plan was to move. It is unlikey the move will happen on Friday, but in the event we get temporary occupancy yet by Friday, we may. If anything changes for our Monday school day I will email you and your classroom teacher will contact you by phone. If you hear nothing please bring your child to their current classroom on Monday. We appreciate your flexibility with this matter.

We will also update you on the Spring Open House as soon as we know for sure. Our tentative rescheduled date for the Open House is Friday, May 1st from 6-8 pm. We should be firm on this next week!

Director's Weekly Update

As many of you saw at pick up time there was a funeral here at the church. We apologize for any inconvenience that may have caused in picking up your child. We appreciate your patience!

Please remember next week that SCDC is closed on Friday! The move to the new building will be taking place on this day. We will be officially starting classes in our new space on Monday, April 13th. That morning you may park in front of the new building entering from Suncreek DR. (on the east side of the building) and the main entrance to the building is right there. I will send more information next week.

Wednesday is the day for the Easter parties. Several parents have reserved playgrounds for certain times to have their egg hunts. Room moms if you have not done that please let me know so we have a place for you! Parties start around 1:00 for some classes and Rainbow is at 11:30.

Open House:
Our open house will be on Friday, April 17th from 6-8:00. Several of the silent auction baskets have come in, and they look great!! We will be sending home information on pre ordering pizza and drink for that event. We will also post pictures of the silent auction baskets soon!! Remember all the money raised on the silent auction goes back into items for the preschool.

Weekly Director's Update

I hope you all had a great weekend! Here’s what’s going on this week:

· Wednesday – Class (group) picture day – Please make sure and dress your child on Wednesday to have their picture taken. A green form went home last week that you need to include your cash or check to your teacher by this Wednesday. The cost is $7.50. Checks are made to Kathy Walden Photography.
· Wednesday – Supply Fees due to Tricia as well as the blue (enrollment) form. Please hold the orange form and have your doctor sign after June 1st. You may turn this form in on the first day of school in the fall. If you have questions please let me know.
· Easter Parties – The parties will take place on Wednesday, April 8th. Please check with your teachers on the time for your class.
· No School –, April 10th – This is the day the church is moving the preschool to the new building so we will be closed that Friday day.

Volunteers & Boxes needed!!
We would love any boxes you could donate. We are eagerly packing for the move date on the 10th. If anyone can help with packing the teacher supply room we would greatly appreciate it. Please contact me and let me know a time you can help out!

The Move
We have been told things are moving right along! We hope that next week the city signs off on the building when we need them to :) If everything goes as planned your child will be starting in their new classroom on Monday, April 13th. I will give you more details next week!

Open House
Open house for the new building is on Friday, April 17th from 6-8:00. This will be a time for our families to tour the new building and the children can participate in fun activities in each classroom. The silent auction baskets will be there for bidding. They look great!!! An email went out to all room moms today about the open house that they should be passing along to you. We will be sending a flyer home next week with more information about the event. This will be a great opportunity for all our families to walk around and see the entire new children’s building.

Weekly Director's Update

I know everyone is looking forward to a break! Just a reminder, we will be closed next week for Spring Break.

We hope that you all have a fun and relaxing time with your families!

Here is what is on the calendar for the week of March 23rd:

**DONATIONS**
Parents we are in need of boxes to start packing the teacher resource room, classrooms and office. If you have any boxes you could give us that would be great! Please bring them starting Monday, March 23rd and you may leave them in Palmer Hall. Also, for field day we are in need of bubble wrap, if anyone has that they can donate.

**PACKERS**
If we have any parents that would like to donate their time to help us pack the teacher resource room it would be MUCH appreciated. Please email me and let me know when you could help. We will do this over the next few weeks in short shifts.

**SUPPLY FEES**
Supply fees for the 2009-2010 school year are due by Wednesday, April 1st. Please see Tricia!

Weekly Update

What great weather we had this week! Spring is in the air!! The kids had fun planting seeds and talking about how things grow. Next week we’ll continue with that in addition to rain. Ask your child about the “Hosanna Hop” from Chapel time.
